This pumpkin spice layer cake is tall and proud.

I used to be afraid to even attempt to make a layer cake but I soon realized what I was missing out on when I made this delicious pumpkin spice and walnut buttercream confection. It wasn’t hard to make at all. Time-consuming? Yes. Hard? No.

Even though the fall season is almost over and Christmas is heartily upon us you can still make a delicious pumpkin spice cake. I always try to have something with pumpkin in it during my family’s Christmas dinner. I think the winner shall be this cake.

Who Else Wants To Eat This Every Day, Holiday Season Or Not?

I love making holiday desserts and I especially love cranberries. You see, not everyone in my family reciprocates my sentiments for the red, round, tart berries. So, in order to get my cranberry fix I have to compromise.

I can’t just serve them straight up cranberry sauce because they won’t eat it. The only way to get my loved ones to eat cranberry sauce is if i buy the overly sugary jellied kind from the grocery store. Not. Gonna. Happen. So, I stumbled upon Good Dinner Mom where I found this recipe for cranberry fluff and all was right with the world!

Tart, crunchy and sweet, this salad is more than just fluffy. It’s super easy to prepare and really packs a punch of flavor. What a great holiday side dish! Another thing I find great about this cranberry fluff salad is how pretty it is. Dare I say that is even girly looking with its pastel pink hue? Shhhh, don’t tell my 10-year-old son that or he will not eat this fluff haha!

Who Else Wants A Slice Of This Amazing Pie?

I can’t wait to make this incredible pie again! And you know what? I will be making this pie again very soon as Thanksgiving is quickly approaching. I know my holiday dinner guests will be super excited to chow down on this yummy dessert.

And what is that pie, you ask! Well, my friends, this is cider eggnog pie and I guarantee you’re going to love it. You’ve never tasted a creamy pie until you’ve tasted this one, that’s how I feel anyway! I, personally, do not like eggnog but I find that the flavors work perfectly in this dessert.

If you’re worried about the cider, don’t be. It’s not a dominant flavor in this pie at all. In fact, if you’re a big fan of apple cider, you may even want to boost up the flavor by replacing all the liquids in this pie with cider. However, this is one of my all-time favorite pie recipes as is, so I would highly recommend giving this a go at first – before you start making any tweaks!

If This Is A Dream, I Don’t Ever Want To Wake Up!

I know what I’m making for my family and friends for Christmas! Over the years my loved ones have learned to expect homemade gifts from me. Nothing too fancy or over the top – I just think it’s a fun way of showing them I think and care about them. I’ve made breads, cakes and candy, but this year I’m going to go with these absolutely divine magic bars!

I just had to make a test batch – not that I wanted to eat these, I just thought I’d see if they were good enough for presents… Yeah right! I gobbled up half the batch before I even told my family I was making these, haha!

These magic bars from Veganbaking.net turned out so delicious, I’m not sure if I’m going to be able to make these, after all. I might end up eating all of them myself, and then feeling bad about giving them store-bought gifts instead! I think I need to ask my husband to take these out of my sight as soon as they’re ready!

Never in a million years did I think something like bacon would make your ordinary chocolate chip cookies so much better! Fortunately I overheard one of the ladies at my church talking about bacon cookies, and I just had to ask for the recipe. I mean, bacon?? It sounds so weird, doesn’t it?

You’ve Never Tried Banana Bread This Scrumptious Before!

Lately I’ve been trying to find new recipes that would make both; a great breakfast and dessert. It seemed like anything I’ve come across has been a little too unhealthy. Now, I don’t mind if my dessert is all butter and sugar but somehow I feel like I should at least try to make something healthier for breakfast… So I was really excited to try this healthier version.

I’ve already made this twice and I have to say, it’s not just my favorite breakfast – my whole family is crazy about it! It definitely takes a healthier approach by using some fat-free yogurt, but don’t let that fool you. This still makes the most delightful dessert, too!

With the addition of walnuts you are going to give your body a great boost on many levels (I suggest you read about the health benefits of walnuts – wow!) And if you feel like this isn’t fancy enough for dessert, try serving it warm with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream. It’s going to blow you away!

An Easy Dessert For Anyone Who Loves Apples! Or Streusel! Or Cheesecake!

I’ve tried so many recipes over the years that it’s not easy to completely wow me anymore. But these awesome apple streusel cheesecake bars really did! Oh, how I would love to enjoy these every single day of the week. Yum! But since that’s probably not going to be good for my figure, I try to settle for making these once a month.

I guarantee the first time you sink your teeth into these delicious bars, you’re going to hear a symphony. It’s your taste buds playing a love song to all of these incredible flavors that are so beautifully colliding in each bite.

It took all of my will power to keep from eating half a batch in one go. They’re just so good, it’s almost impossible to stop reaching for “one more”! And that’s why I would recommend making 2 batches. Who cares about calories when they taste so amazing!
