baby spinach, baking powder, baking soda, Bertolli extra-virgin olive oil, black pepper, Bob's Red Mill, Clabber Girl, creamy side, Dole spinach, domino sugar, eat, Eggland's Best eggs, food, Gold Medal all-purpose flour, Gold Medal flour, Hood heavy cream, kosher salt, Kraft, Kraft parmesan cheese, land o lakes butter, Land O Lakes swiss cheese, McCormick nutmeg, McCormick spices, Morton salt, oscar mayer bacon, recipe, salsa, side dish, sour cream, spinach, spinach gratin, tomato sauce, TruMoo milk, veggies, Wesson vegetable oil

Eaten plain this veggie might not be the most appealing, but when made cheesy gratin style it’ll be a new favorite in any household! Top it off with crispy salty bacon and it’ll steal the show at the dinner table. I promise even the pickiest eaters will love this creamy spinach side dish and gobble down those greens like you’ve never seen.

Make this side dish to compliment any meat and potato dinner for a quick and delicious way to sneak in those veggies. Take a quick gander at the ingredient list and you’ll notice you don’t need to go to the store for anything special. If swiss cheese isn’t on hand, feel free to substitute it for any other cheese you love. Cheddar? American? Yea that’ll work just fine!

Aunt Jemima, Aunt Jemima Maple Syrup, butter, egg sandwich, Egg-Land's Best eggs, eggs, Grilled Cheese, Kraft, Kraft cheese, Land O Lakes, maple bacon egg sandwich, Oscar Mayer, oscar mayer bacon

I’m one of those people that loves Thanksgiving for the next day sandwiches, packing everything from a meal, in between two slices.

So if you’re anything like me, you’re gonna love this breakfast sandwich!

Sweet maple flavors lace this deliciously decadent egg and earthy bacon sandwich.

Trust me folks when I say, not only is this recipe incredibly easy, it’s a surefire way to get the family to be quiet for five minutes….while they devour it!

This recipe takes about 45 minutes and serves 4 people, so you may want to double up if you have a bigger family.

My husband doesn’t like maple syrup, so if you have a food baby in the house, like him (tee hee) than you can simply omit that part from your recipe.

You can also sprinkle some powdered sugar on the top, to garnish.  Serve with a side of ketchup.

Our friends at the Food Network, had this to say about the recipe:

“Unable to decide between breakfast and lunch? This sweet and smoky sandwich satisfies both cravings. To speed the process, heat and cook using two skillets at the same time.”
