Orange vanilla monkey bread is one of my all-time favorite desserts to make and I know my family sure does love it too! If you are already a fan of monkey bread you are going to be a mega fan of this orange vanilla version. The flavor combinations are just simply divine. I can’t get enough of this bread, y’all. And guess what? This bread isn’t hard to make at all! The other day I went to a ladies breakfast at the church and I needed to bring a dish to pass so this is what I brought.

Typically, I bring a breakfast casserole but I wanted to change things up a bit. You know, I wanted to keep those church ladies guessing and give them a little surprise lol.

My vanilla orange monkey bread went over perfectly.

This Crockpot Hawaiian Chicken is perfect for people who want a low-hassle meal and like their meat on the sweet side. It features a sticky-sweet sauce, with the natural mild acidity of the pineapple and mandarin oranges giving it just the right amount of tartness to put the sweet and savory flavors in balance. I have to say, the Hawaiians do know how to blend the Asian and American cooking traditions nicely. I was more than happy to break out my Crock-Pot again to give this a try. And with no pre-cooking even required, this recipe is about as easy as it gets.

For easier cleanup, spray down your slow cooker with some cooking spray or use a liner. You can tweak the sauce in this recipe a bit according to taste. The simplest way to serve this chicken is as shown, on a bed of rice of your choice. I happen to think that jasmine rice goes beautifully with this! That is likely more than enough for a full meal for most people, but if you want some sides, I would recommend some simply cooked carrots and a green vegetable of your choice for a bit of contrast.

Cooking at home with lean, health-conscious ingredients is a great way to have a flavorful meal without throwing all dietary concerns to the wind. This Healthy Orange Chicken recipe is a nice choice if you like the taste of Chinese food but need to watch your cholesterol, sodium, or blood sugar levels.

I have frequently enjoyed Asian-style orange chicken at restaurants in the past, and as it turns out, it isn’t that difficult a dish to put together. There is a marinating step, but you only need to marinate the chicken for about half an hour. And the agave and low-sodium soy sauce combined nicely with the other ingredients to make a delicious lightened-up sauce (while keeping the sodium levels and glycemic index relatively low).

Quick tip: Make sure you allow to marinate for at least 25 minutes for best results.

You don’t have to put together everything from scratch to have a tasty and original dessert!  This Orange Creamsicle Cake recipe cleverly combines a couple of mixes with a few basic ingredients to recreate that classic childhood frozen treat in cake form. This is such a delicious dessert that your whole family will enjoy!

I have always been a bit of an experimenter in the kitchen.  Particularly when I’ve let myself get in a bit of a food rut, I enjoy putting together a few “same-old, same-old” ingredients to see if the combination gives me something tasty and exciting.  So this sort of recipe is just down my alley.  It didn’t hurt, either, that I loved those orange creamsicles so much as a kid.

Other than a prime aged steak, Carnitas are my favorite meat. How can you go wrong with Mexican spiced fried pork, right? Even if this is the first time you’ve ever heard of Carnitas, I strongly suggest you give this recipe a go. You won’t be sorry!

This particular recipe truly is authentic. To have good carnitas you have to have the citrus – this recipe calls for oranges. Some people use shoulder for the carnitas, personally I prefer the pork butt which is exactly what this recipe calls for.
