Who Else Wants To Eat This Every Day, Holiday Season Or Not?

I love making holiday desserts and I especially love cranberries. You see, not everyone in my family reciprocates my sentiments for the red, round, tart berries. So, in order to get my cranberry fix I have to compromise.

I can’t just serve them straight up cranberry sauce because they won’t eat it. The only way to get my loved ones to eat cranberry sauce is if i buy the overly sugary jellied kind from the grocery store. Not. Gonna. Happen. So, I stumbled upon Good Dinner Mom where I found this recipe for cranberry fluff and all was right with the world!

Tart, crunchy and sweet, this salad is more than just fluffy. It’s super easy to prepare and really packs a punch of flavor. What a great holiday side dish! Another thing I find great about this cranberry fluff salad is how pretty it is. Dare I say that is even girly looking with its pastel pink hue? Shhhh, don’t tell my 10-year-old son that or he will not eat this fluff haha!

These 3 Layers Of Pure Pleasure Will Blow Your Hair Back!

My niece was born this time of year, which has been a blessing for my sister – she really loves all the traditional fall flavors and a birthday party is a great excuse for her to make all the delicious autumn desserts. However, she always tries to tweak the traditional recipes a little; to give them a modern twist without changing them too much.

This year, I wanted to help my sister in the party preparations and she gave me this recipe she had found over at Delish. She and I are both crazy in love with sweet potato pie, so these bars are pretty much everything we could ever hope for when it comes to desserts!

Of course I had to make a test batch – you know, just to see if these were good enough for the guests… ahem. They turned out so amazing that I immediately added this recipe to our holiday menu! There’s nothing wrong with a traditional pie, of course, but these bars are totally out of this world.

These Cookies Will Make Any Party A Huge Success!

Hi everyone! Have you already started making plans for Halloween? I don’t have anything prepared yet but I sure have been trying to find some inspiration online! It seems these days with Pinterest and Instagram (and all the other sites I’m probably not even aware of) it’s so easy to get carried away with everything. Whether it’s a weeknight meal or a special holiday, there are a gazillion wonderful recipes just a click away!

When Halloween comes, my whole family tends to go a little crazy… I’ll be the first to admit it has a lot to do with me! I am a child at heart – always have and always will be, so anything that has to do with costumes, decorations, sleepovers and “all the fun stuff” makes me super excited.

I guess I don’t have to tell you I was blown away when I first heard about this awesome cookie idea! Don’t they look horrible, in a good way?! This is exactly the kind of stuff that makes me wish Halloween was three times a year. Then again, who says you can’t make these year ’round!

Have you ever thought; “I wish there was a dessert I could throw together in two minutes!” I know I have – that’s why I was so excited when I came across this recipe. I can’t believe I hadn’t thought of something so simple and delicious before! It makes complete sense now that I’ve tried it – duh! Of course it does! How could anything go wrong with ingredients such as condensed milk, pie filling and mini marshmallows! I’m telling you, it can’t!

That lovely color in the picture comes from the cherry pie filling, but if you’re not a fan of cherry – no problem! You can simply choose your favorite pie filling for this one, or even use homemade, if you want to make things from scratch.

For me, this recipe is perfect because it’s quick and easy, and most of the time I have all the ingredients at hand. I’ve made this several times when I’ve received that surprise phone call; “We’re in town and we’ll be at your house in an hour!”

Argo cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, barilla pasta, Bertolli extra-virgin olive oil, black pepper, Bob's Red Mill, Borden, brown sugar, Clabber Girl, College Inn, Cool Whip, domino sugar, eat, Eggland's Best eggs, food, Gold Medal flour, granulated sugar, Green Giant, heavy whipping cream, Hershey, Honey maid graham crackers, instant chocolate pudding, Jell-O, Jif peanut butter, Johnsonville, kosher salt, Kraft, land o lakes butter, marshmallow fluff, marshmallows, McCormick spices, mini marshmallows, Morton salt, Pam Cooking Spray, Pepperidge Farm, Philadelphia cream cheese, Powdered sugar, recipe, Sargento, Smores, Thorn Apple Valley, Toll House, TruMoo milk, tyson, vanilla, vanilla extract, Vlasic, Wesson vegetable oil, whipped topping

Last summer I had a true addiction to smores.  It wasn’t enough to make them in our backyard using the fire pit, no…. I had to seek out and find the BEST smores –based recipes around.  I made smores everything, smores pie, smores cheesecake.  My family was excited about my newfound obsession though, it meant we got to try tons of delicious recipes on a weekly basis throughout the summer.  The BEST recipe I found though, was this one for S’mores Lasagna!

The word s’mores comes from “some more”.  It’s believed that Boy and Girl Scouts coined the term s’mores, but it’s hard to say exactly.  Rumor has it that there was a graham cracker sandwich called “Some More” in a recipe book.  A couple decades later, a similar recipe was published called in “S’Mores”.  No matter how the name came to be, it’s still one of America’s favorite campfire treats.

Quick Tip – If you don’t have a kitchen torch to toast the marshmallows, you can use a long lighter.

bread pudding, chocolate chips, hawaiian sweet bread, Hot Chocolate, hot chocolate bread pudding, mini marshmallows

Once known as the poor man’s pudding. I’d say this hot chocolate breading pudding is anything but poor! This decadent dessert is super comforting and doubles as a dessert or a breakfast treat. Why not?!

Use whatever bread you have on hand, some prepared hot chocolate, and dig out those mini marshmallows because they make an appearance as well! This ooey gooey treat has a quick prep time of 30 minutes, but allow an hour and 15 minutes for cooking. Serving 6-8, this is perfect for when company comes over, or when you want to indulge in a chocolaty high! Dig in and get cozy with this scrumptious bread pudding bake!
