Ain’t Nobody Got Time For Kneading!

Ladies and gentlemen, here’s the busy mom’s or a lazy cook’s ideal recipe for homemade bread! Everyone knows how delicious homemade bread is, but let’s face it. Who has the time and the energy to do all that work for a delicious loaf? Not me, that’s for sure! Occasionally I bake a loaf or two, but then I just get back to my old ways and end up buying bread from the store. It just isn’t the same thing.

I have tried a few no-knead recipes, especially for dinner rolls. They’ve turned out tasty but I’ve been craving for a bread recipe that would be as easy to make as they are.

However, I’ve kind of had the feeling that those no-knead breads wouldn’t be very good. I was worried they would turn out dry – or even worse, hard as a brick. I was talking to the lady next door and she said she had just the perfect recipe for me. I had my doubts… but she convinced me to give it a try.

And guess what? This really is the easiest and tastiest homemade bread on the planet!

It Doesn’t Get Any Easier (Or TASTIER) Than This!

I am crazy about appetizers. If it was up to me, I would just serve all kinds of appetizers for dinner every day, instead of cooking your usual full meal. Somehow I feel like eating a bunch of different kinds of little things is much more fun than just eating a nice steak. Not that there’s anything wrong with steak, of course. I wonder if I’m the only one who thinks like this… Could you think of just serving appetizers for dinner?

I bet you could, after you’ve had a taste of this amazing garlic bread. It looked so incredibly delicious that I just couldn’t wait until another party to make it.

I decided we needed an appetizer for a regular weeknight dinner yesterday. You know, just because. So I made this garlic bread and it turned out mind-blowing! I knew it looked good in the picture but nothing could have prepared me for that stupendous taste! I probably would have eaten the whole thing on my own, if it wasn’t for my family…

About 30 minutes away from where I live, there is a farm of strawberries and tomatoes that is owned by an Amish family. They live in Ohio in the summer months and travel to Florida for the winter where they open the farm, sell their crops and make some home baked goods. Some of the best treats they make are herb rolls and cheesy bread. They are salty and fresh and I could down the bag of dozen in one day if my husband would let me.

The other great treat they make is the cinnamon roll. Now, these cinnamon rolls have something that is unlike any other I have ever eaten in my life. They have a thick bread, but it is very soft. They are not necessarily flaky, but definitely very fluffy. They are really fat and the center is full of cinnamon goodness. The glaze over these is not just a light drizzle, but it is completely coated. It is so amazing! The line to get a box of cinnamon rolls is never shorter than 3 hours, but they are still totally worth it. I go at least once every winter and stock up!

How To Survive Your First Attempt At Making Deep Dish Pizza

baking powder, baking soda, Bertolli extra-virgin olive oil, Chicago Pizza, Clabber Girl, Cornmeal, crushed tomatoes, Deep Dish Pizza, domino sugar, eat, Eggland's Best eggs, food, galric cloves, Gold Medal flour, instant yeast, Johnsonville, Kraft, Kraft parmesan cheese, Kraft shredded mozzarella cheese, land o lakes butter, McCormick spices, Morton salt, onion, pepper, pepperoni, pizza, recipe, tomatoes, TruMoo milk, water, Wesson vegetable oil

No one in their right mind would ever say no to pizza.  Now throw that into a deep baked, flaky crust, and we’re practically zombies for the plate. You might think it’s to hard to make deep dish at home, but honey, it’s easy peasy!

This recipe makes about 12 servings, but it probably won’t last longer than one sitting.  That being said, if it does manage to survive, this pizza keeps as well as any others, and is just as spectacular cold, as it is warm. Try noshing on a piece for breakfast. As they say, “Cold pizza is the breakfast of champions.” Do they really say that?
