Basic buttermints recipe got me like, “woah”.

As a little girl, I can remember my great grandma always having crystal candy dishes in almost every room that contained buttermints. My siblings and I would eat them by the handful and my mom would get so mad at us! Grandma would just smile and refill the candy dish with more buttermints. LOL! Grandma’s are so awesome, aren’t they? Anyway, I found a delicious recipe for homemade buttermints on one of ym favorite food blogs. I really think you are going to like this recipe as it only contains five ingredients!

I am beyond excited that I found this recipe over on the Making Memories With Your Kids website. Homemade buttermitns are my new go-to candy.

Oh, the weather outside is frightful…and that means we make soup!

As a kid growing up in Michigan, hot soup was a staple meal that my mother would often make. You could always count on her having a massive pot of the stuff simmering on the stove. I loved all of my mom’s soup recipes. Rockin Robin Cooks has a wonderful YouTube Channel where she makes a fresh and homemade lentil soup that is chock-full of veggies. This soup is easy to make and reminds me of my mother’s home cooking.

Lately, I’ve been searching for new and fun foods to make as I always seem to prepare the same things. I am over the moon with excitement that I found Rockin Robin Cooks on YouTube. her channel is FULL of AWESOME recipe videos.

Are you ready to get the details on how to make this awesome recipe courtesy of rockin Robin Cooks? Welp, high tail it on over to the next page for a complete list of ingredients and instructions. Enjoy!

Say, “goodbye” to the orange package and, “hello” to homemade.

There are some things in life that I simply cannot live without and bread is one of them. I tried to be on a low-carb diet but I found myself craving bread like nobody’s business. However, I didn’t give into the temptation….until I made these delicious Hawianna sweet rolls. Oh. my. Word. Just the aroma of them baking in the oven was enough to put me over the edge.

The next time I make these sweet rolls I’ll be making a double batch because my husband and kids devoured them in an evening. I suppose that is a good thing though as it kept me from overindulging haha!

Chicken meat is probably the most versatile of all meats.

You can absolutely do anything with it! You can fry it and make your own personal favorite dips for it (I particularly love tartar sauce and garlic mayo). You can put in pasta dishes to balance the richness of the sauce. You can roast it, you can braize it, you can bake it—anything! The only thing to learn in cooking chicken is the technique. In every dish, there needs to be a different technique to achieve the desired flavor of the meat. For example, when frying chicken, you have to make sure that the oil is hot enough for it to be cooked well. Or when you make chicken with any sauce, you have to allow chicken the ample time to absorb the flavor, but at the same time, it shouldn’t be saturated with said flavor that you can’t taste the chicken anymore.

One of my favorite childhood chicken recipes is chicken fingers. They’re easier to eat than fried chicken; they tend to be more tender and more convenient to chew on because they’re boneless.

But what I love most is the dip that always comes with it. Ironically, the dip makes the fried piece of chicken less rich for me even if it makes it more flavorful. This chicken finger recipe from Food Network gives chicken that old taste and at the same time gives it that new flavor that everyone will enjoy munching on it.

Quick Tip: You can freeze the chicken raw and then follow the instructions for cooking. They will taste better that way rather than the re-heated, cooked, frozen fingers.

I’ve never made such an easy fruit cobbler in my entire life.

Seriously, folks, this recipe is a keeper. I was wanting to make my family a dessert after dinner the other night but I was really short on time. I looked at my cookbooks and nothing wasn’t labor intensive. So, I hopped on the internet and visited one of my favorite blogs, my little sister’s! You guys, this gal knows how to cook!

She has come up with some really fun recipes such as this amazingly quick and easy fruit cobbler. I believe she adapted this recipe from Facebook. Anyway, I love how quick and simple it is to make this fruit cobbler and I intend to make it again sometime soon.

Okay, enough chit-chat, I bet you are ready to learn how to make this yummy recipe, right? Hop on over to the next page for all of the details. Enjoy!

Seriously, once I tried this recipe and used it in a casserole, I was making a broccoli cheese baked dish, I have never bought another canned soup again. This recipe is uh-mazing! And guess what? It is more than half the sodium that is in the canned variety. Awesomesauce!

A note from Keni – “The main photo is cream of celery using veggie stock, and the other is mushroom using chicken stock. Please remember, you can combine ingredients to make blend, or add garlic, etc, to make a cream of mushroom with garlic, etc. Just play around and make it to suit your needs and taste!”

My middle son and I were chatting yesterday after he got off the school bus. i asked him how his day went and what he learned. He always says, “nothing.” LOL! Why do children say that when asked what they learned at school? I asked him what he had for lunch and he told me pizza rolls but not the kind that you buy at the store. I was perplexed. I asked him to tell me more about these pizza rolls and what he described sounded totally tasty! I’m glad he remembered what they were like, unlike how his memory drew a blank to what he learned in school that day.

So, after taking a mental account for the pizza rolls my son described to me I decided I would try and find a suitable recipe that matched his description. I probably could have just called the school cafeteria and asked them their recipe but I like to do things the adventurous way aka. “the hard way” haha! I came across thsid elightful pizza roll recipe and I am excited to share it with all of you 🙂
