Every crevice is filled with savory herbs, charming cheese, and butter.

Seriously, does that not sound absolutely heavenly? My husband and kiddos LOVE these sliced and baked potatoes. We get creative with our seasonings that we use. Sometimes, each kid will season their potato according to their own tastes. The kiddos really enjoy doing this and so do I.

My husband had suggested that we try using Old Bay Seasoning and I thought that sounded super good. So, I sprinkled some on the sliced taters in addition to some other spices. Wow! Did those potatoes come out tasting good! I think a little pinch of fresh garlic would be swell as well 🙂

What will you be putting on yours?

Anyway, I bet you are biting at the bit to get the details of this amazing recipe, right? Without further ado, please hop on over to the next page for the ingredients and instructions. Enjoy!

My Holidays Won’t Be The Same Without This Homemade Special Butter

I remember when I was little, my grandmother used to tell me how they made their own butter instead of just getting it from a grocery store, like we do now. I thought it was so fascinating – for a little girl it was such a mind-blowing thing to hear you could make butter yourself! Grandma used to make her homemade butter every now and then, and I always thought it was amazing. I probably could have eaten it with a spoon, if no-one was watching…

All those decades ago my grandparents had a special, handmade tool just to make butter. So I guess it never occurred to me you could make it with one of the most common household items ever; a mason jar!

That’s right, you only need a mason jar for this, so it’s a fun activity to do with your kids, also. This recipe from Erin, over at Making Memories With Your Kids, is for a special cinnamon-sugar butter – and I have to say it’s so delicious, just talking about it makes my mouth water!

Summer is just around the corner and with that comes garden fresh vegetables like cucumbers. We typically have an overabundance of cukes here on the farm so naturally, we make lots of creamy cucumber salad! This cool and herby salad is a huge hit as a side dish during dinner or served alone as an entree at lunch. Both young and old always enjoy slapping a healthy helping of this favorite summertime salad on their plate.

One of the best parts of making this dish is that if you’re like us, you’ll have most of these ingredients growing in your backyard. If you have always thought about maintaining a garden but have never done so, now’s the time to take the plunge. Just think of all the amazing cucumber salad you’ll get to have!

The homemade crust is so easy to make and comes out perfect, however you can also use store-bought for a simple short-cut.

Argo cornstarch, bake, baked, baked fish, Baked Herbed Salmon, baked salmon, bakes, baking, baking powder, baking soda, barilla pasta, Bertolli extra-virgin olive oil, black pepper, Bob's Red Mill, Borden, brown sugar, Campbell’s soups, casserole, Chiquita, Clabber Girl, College Inn, Cool Whip, crock pot, Daisy sour cream, dessert, dinner, Dole, domino sugar, easy, easy recipe, eat, Eggland's Best eggs, entree, fish, food, Gold Medal flour, granulated sugar, Green Giant, healthy, herb, herbed, herbs, Hershey, Hodgkin’s Mill, home, home recipe, Jell-O, Jif peanut butter, Johnsonville, keebler, kosher salt, Kraft, land o lakes butter, Libby, main course, main dish, McCormick spices, Morton salt, omega-3, omega-3 fatty acids, oven, Pam Cooking Spray, Pepperidge Farm, Philadelphia cream cheese, Powdered sugar, quick, quick entree, quick main course, quick recipe, recipe, Ritz crackers, salmon, salmon fillet, salmon fillets, Sara Lee, Sargento, simple, simple recipe, slow cooker, Thorn Apple Valley, Toll House, TruMoo milk, tyson, vanilla, vanilla extract, vitamin D, Vlasic, Wesson vegetable oil, whipped topping

I love seafood dinners but sometimes it seems hard to find tasty recipes that aren’t too complicated to make on a busy weeknight. This Herbed Baked Salmon is about as fast and simple a seafood main course as you can get. And with fish like this, you want to keep it rather simple… no need to overload something already flavorful on its own.

I know that not everyone is keen on the flavor of an oily fish such as salmon, but if you aren’t totally opposed, I really suggest that you give this recipe a try. This is a simple but well balanced set of herbs that, with the zesty acidity of lemon, complement the natural flavor of the fish very well.
