These 3 Layers Of Pure Pleasure Will Blow Your Hair Back!

My niece was born this time of year, which has been a blessing for my sister – she really loves all the traditional fall flavors and a birthday party is a great excuse for her to make all the delicious autumn desserts. However, she always tries to tweak the traditional recipes a little; to give them a modern twist without changing them too much.

This year, I wanted to help my sister in the party preparations and she gave me this recipe she had found over at Delish. She and I are both crazy in love with sweet potato pie, so these bars are pretty much everything we could ever hope for when it comes to desserts!

Of course I had to make a test batch – you know, just to see if these were good enough for the guests… ahem. They turned out so amazing that I immediately added this recipe to our holiday menu! There’s nothing wrong with a traditional pie, of course, but these bars are totally out of this world.

If This Is A Dream, I Don’t Ever Want To Wake Up!

I know what I’m making for my family and friends for Christmas! Over the years my loved ones have learned to expect homemade gifts from me. Nothing too fancy or over the top – I just think it’s a fun way of showing them I think and care about them. I’ve made breads, cakes and candy, but this year I’m going to go with these absolutely divine magic bars!

I just had to make a test batch – not that I wanted to eat these, I just thought I’d see if they were good enough for presents… Yeah right! I gobbled up half the batch before I even told my family I was making these, haha!

These magic bars from Veganbaking.net turned out so delicious, I’m not sure if I’m going to be able to make these, after all. I might end up eating all of them myself, and then feeling bad about giving them store-bought gifts instead! I think I need to ask my husband to take these out of my sight as soon as they’re ready!

Fluffy, Caramelly, Peanut-Buttery… What More Could You Ask For?

I was going to just quickly tell you about this incredible no-bake pie, but I’ve been staring at that photo, my mouth watering, and thinking of last week when I tried this for the first time. I am so going to blame Jessica from A Kitchen Addiction if I have to go and buy new jeans in a larger size next week! Gosh, this pie was delicious!

As if peanut butter wasn’t enough to lure me in, she had to add Snicker’s in the mix, too. I swear, my first bite of this felt like I had died and gone to dessert heaven. Halfway through my the slice I was already reaching for another one, and I could have eaten the whole pie on my own but my family made me share!

The best part about this is that you don’t have to use your oven. The worst part is that you’re going to have to let this chill and set in the refrigerator for 4 hours. Guys, those were the longest, slowest hours of my life!

If You Haven’t Tried This Yet, You’ve Been Missing Out BIG TIME

When it comes to desserts, I have noticed that there are a few recipes I always return to, no matter how many new ones I try.

One of these staples is the classic cheesecake. It’s perfect for any and every occasion, and by serving it with different kinds of sides you can make it taste fresh and new each time. My favorite side is strawberry sauce or jam, but my best friend likes her cheesecake slice served with fresh peaches. And you know what my husband wants on top of his? Melted chocolate. To me that sounds really weird!

I have tried some cheesecake recipes that were “cutting the corners”, and while they were tasty, they didn’t give me that feeling of WOW. This recipe takes a little bit more effort but the end result is so worth it!

The first time I made this, my husband actually thought I had stopped by our favorite place to buy this. I had to make it again on another occasion to make him believe it had really come from our home kitchen! (Some wives might say that was an insult, but trust me when I tell you, this cheesecake is THAT good.)

Man, I have learned to love a good brownie. I have always been a cookie fan myself, but my husband is a die-hard brownie guy. He loves a good piece of cakey chocolate to lift his mood or give him the energy he needs to get through his day. With a good piece of chocolate, he is often awake enough to help me do anything around the house. (Do not tell him, let’s keep this as a little secret between us, but I make him brownies so he feels awake and then gets around to the to-do list that is always sitting there. Haha!)

Having a yummy afternoon treat is always something delicious and special that I love to have for my husband when he gets home from work, or siblings when they come over to spend the afternoon or night with us. It is just the perfect housewarming treat for when someone arrives. This recipe is one that will truly impress your guests. They will never know that the brownies can be made with boxed mix and you just threw some marshmallows over into it to make them yummier. No way, these look totally impressive and delicious and your guests will be begging you for more!

Argo cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, barilla pasta, Bertolli extra-virgin olive oil, black pepper, Bob's Red Mill, Borden, brown sugar, Campbell’s soups, caramel, caramel bars, casserole, Chiquita, Clabber Girl, club crackers, College Inn, Cool Whip, crock pot, crunchy caramel bars, Daisy sour cream, dessert, Dole, domino sugar, eat, Eggland's Best eggs, food, Gold Medal flour, graham crackers, granulated sugar, Green Giant, Hershey, Hodgkin’s Mill, Jell-O, Jif peanut butter, Johnsonville, keebler, kosher salt, Kraft, land o lakes butter, Libby, McCormick spices, Morton salt, Nestle's butterscotch morsels, Pam Cooking Spray, peanut butter, Pepperidge Farm, Philadelphia cream cheese, Powdered sugar, recipe, Ritz crackers, Sara Lee, Sargento, slow cooker, Thorn Apple Valley, Toll House, TruMoo milk, tyson, vanilla, vanilla extract, Vlasic, Wesson vegetable oil, whipped topping

I am not a fan of caramel. It gets stuck in between my teeth and no amount of excessive brushing can immediately remedy the situation. It’s also a bit too sweet for my moderately sweet tooth. But when caramel is combined with something else that can balance its excessive sweetness, I become a fan, even if temporarily. Chocolate, despite its own sweetness, has that bitter bite to it. So when it’s mixed with caramel to make a one of a kind dessert, everything just tastes heavenly to me.

Just like this recipe that I found from Mel’s Kitchen. But, it doesn’t only combine caramel with chocolate; it also gives it a new twist by adding the slightest bit of texture— the crunchiness. And that, my friends, is what makes a really good caramel bar!

Argo cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda, barilla pasta, Bertolli extra-virgin olive oil, black pepper, Bob's Red Mill, Borden, brown sugar, Campbell’s soups, casserole, cheesecake, Chiquita, chocolate cheesecake, Clabber Girl, College Inn, Cool Whip, crock pot, Daisy sour cream, dessert, Dole, domino sugar, eat, Eggland's Best eggs, food, Gold Medal flour, graham crackers, granulated sugar, Green Giant, Hershey, Hershey's bittersweet chocolate, Hodgkin’s Mill, Jell-O, Jif peanut butter, Johnsonville, keebler, kosher salt, Kraft, land o lakes butter, Libby, McCormick spices, McCormick vanilla extract, Morton salt, no-bake cheesecake, Pam Cooking Spray, Pepperidge Farm, Philadelphia cream cheese, Powdered sugar, recipe, Ritz crackers, Sara Lee, Sargento, slow cooker, Thorn Apple Valley, Toll House, TruMoo milk, tyson, vanilla, vanilla extract, Vlasic, Wesson vegetable oil, whipped topping

I recently shared about my cousin Alexis and her famous cheesecake. It is so unfair that she always gets the perfect cheesecake and voted dessert of the year every. Single. Year. No matter how hard I try, I never win and it is so frustrating. But I am determined not to let that stall me. I will continue pressing on until I become the Thanksgiving and Christmas dessert champion.

Now, in order to achieve that, I need to be searching for recipes left and right on the internet. I will go through cookbooks and Barnes and Noble, I will spend hours on Pinterest, I will go to my neighbor Anne’s house and look at her recipe books. All of this effort to achieve the dessert champion of the year. Now, I will admit something to you…I think I have found the one. It is a variation of Alexis’ dessert. It’s a chocolate cheesecake and it’s no bake (which makes it even better if you ask me!). It’s creamy and perfectly fluffy. I think this is could be a winner. I will take it this year to my mom’s side of the family’s Christmas Eve dinner and then again to my father in law’s Christmas day lunch and see if I win. I think I really have a chance with this one.
