I have been trying to stay away from desserts and too many calories, as I’m hoping to shed a couple of pounds that have mysteriously gathered around my waistline. How does that always happen out of nowhere? I swear I was fine just a couple of weeks ago (or maybe it was a couple of years ago..?) but all of a sudden – boom! My jeans don’t fit anymore!

Oh well, I don’t believe in harsh diets. They never seem to work, at least not for me. I’ve noticed it’s much better to have a day or two every month, when you can eat anything your heart desires. This month, I chose to eat these incredible, stuffed, banana cream pie cupcakes!

I gotta tell ya, these cupcakes are so worth a few extra calories! The filling is like a soft cloud of happiness in the middle of the cupcake. If you’re serving these at a party, you’d better make sure you hide a couple of these for yourself first. They are going to be gone in a heartbeat!

Rich, creamy, smooth, and simply delightful, banana pudding is a family classic at our homestead. Whenever we announce that there will be “nanner puddin” served after dinner, you can bet your bottom dollar that the kiddos inhale their veggies like nobody’s business. This recipe creates such a velvety texture of sweet pudding and bananas topped with Cool Whip whipped topping. Don’t forget the crunchy Nabisco Nilla Wafers…mmmm!

Nosh on this dessert after dinner, as a snack, or make it for a party. It was a major hit at our son’s fourth birthday extravaganza. Honestly, I think the kids wolfed down the BP more than the ice cream and cake! I had to make sure to hide a serving for my husband and myself. For real, this banana pudding recipe is THAT good!

There is nothing as smooth and creamy as this recipe.  Add in the crisp vanilla wafers, and you’ve got yourself a delectable dessert casserole, to be enjoyed by all.

Although this doesn’t take long to make, it’s best to refrigerate this for at least 4 hours, or overnight.  This dessert is great for larger dinner parties, as it serves a bunch of people.

If you want a simple, tasty dessert, this Classic No-Bake Banana Pudding is about as low-hassle as it gets, and you can have it prepped in under half an hour.  It’s a great family-friendly treat. I remember gobbling up quite a bit of this as a young child and still enjoy it on occasion now, when I want a sweet treat without too much hassle involved.

You can serve this pretty soon after you have refrigerated it, but it is best if you can let it rest for a few hours.  I like eating this with a bit of Cool Whip or whipped cream on top, but it is perfectly fine without that.  This is a great idea for using those bananas that have gone just a little too soft for you to eat by themselves.  Enjoy!

Ah, cheesecake… it’s so hard to go wrong with it. So light and airy, yet so sweetly indulgent… Pick the right flavor and you’ll have even the most discerning dessert eater saying, “Mmm, that REALLY hits the spot.”  This recipe from Six Sisters’ Stuff is a fantastic choice for any occasion.

I remember that irresistible Southern banana pudding that Mother used to make when I was little. Take some good pudding mix, throw in some Nilla wafers and Chiquita bananas that were just a little too ripe to eat by themselves (we were good about eating fruit, but we didn’t always eat all of it in time), and voila!  So simple, yet so mmm-mmm-GOOD!  Take that simple deliciousness, multiply it by two or so, and add an ample helping of gourmet sophistication and elegance, and you have this delightful banana cream cheesecake recipe.  It is to die for, trust me.
