There’s nothing I love more than a sweet slice of angel food cake. Nothing can compare to the cushiony texture of airy angel food cake mixed with sweet pineapple and topped with a dollop of Cool whip. Yum! I can almost taste this energetic dessert on my tongue right now.

You might be thinking that angel food is great and all, but it’s a pain to make, right? Wrong! This recipe calls for 2 ingredients, folks. You read that right, just 2 ingredients! I know, I was shocked when I found out too. Now, pick your jaw up off the floor and let’s get busy baking this cake!

angel cake, Angel food cake, black and white, cocoa, unsweetened chocolate, vanilla extract

If the world was perfect, no dessert would contain calories.  But since they’re usually our weak spots, riddled with calories, the best we can do is find a recipe that is light on the load.  Angel food cake has always met that expectation, and there’s no difference here.

This easy recipe serves 12 people and is ready in about an hour.  Make sure you refrigerate the cake for at least 10 minutes prior to serving, so the glaze can set.
