All The Good Things And None Of The Bad Stuff!

I make this for my family (and friends) every year… I always make a huge batch and have to use a Tupperware cake top as my bowl and the bottom as my top! It’s sooo rich and creamy! I will put some in tins and give as gifts as well… guess I’m already starting to wish for winter… what am I saying? I’ve been wishing for winter since June! I’m sorry all of you warm weather lovers but I am a HUGE Fall/Winter fan. I love the layered clothing, falling leaves, snow, and HOT COCOA!

My family absolutely adores this recipe. My kids always tell me that my homemade cocoa mix is so much better than the stuff you buy in the store. I would have to agree with them. Plus, this homemade hot cocoa mix doesn’t contain any harmful fillers or preservatives. Just pure, yummy, chocolatey, goodness. You’ll be half tempted to make this hot drink when the temperature gauge strikes 100 in the summer because it is THAT stinkin’ good!

How To Take The Easy Road And End Up With This Amazing Entree

When it comes to Thanksgiving you gotta have a turkey, right? Wrong! You can have a ham, too! However, I prefer making this pineapple glazed ham on Christmas.

My husband’s side of the family loves eating ham so this recipe is the perfect choice. It’s sweet, easy to make, and everyone loves it. Although the recipe doesn’t call for them, I enjoy decorating the ham with maraschino cherries. I just love those little red things!

I have pinned pineapple rings and placed cherries in their centers with toothpicks. The design was so cute! It was a shame when I had to remove them so people could eat the ham haha!

Anyway, if you’re looking for an easy entree for the holidays I’d definitely choose making this ham. It’s really simple because the ham is pre-cooked so basically all you are doing is re-warming it with the special pineapple glaze. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy!

There are a few steps to this recipe, but it’s definitely worth the extra effort.

The filling is really rich and delicious. The crumb topping sets it apart from an ordinary pumpkin pie. And don’t let the filling fool you. It’s a bit more liquidy compared to other pumpkin pies but sets up while baking wonderfully. You really will be impressed as to how well this yummy pie sets up. No jiggling around in the center here!

I have never been a big pecan fan but let me tell ya, they taste uh-mazing on top of this creamy pumpkin pie. The flavors go hand in hand with the cinnamon and nutmeg. So yummy! I think I’ll have to make this pumpkin pie throughout the whole year instead of solely at Thanksgiving. This recipe is just too doggone good to shelve. Let me know what you think of this pumpkin pie recipe in the comments 🙂

Caramel, bananas, AND pecans?

What an amazing flavor combination… Why had I never thought to try this before?! Who knows, but I’m super glad that the notion entered my noggin now. This cake is super easy to make and leaves your house smelling like a professional pastry bakery as it is baking. You won’t be able to wait until the cake is thoroughly cooked before you start chowing down. But trust me, you will want too as this cake is worth the wait.

The first time I had caramel pecan banana cake it was at a church potluck. One of the elderly ladies had brought it along with her and let me tell ya, that cake platter was clean in about 2 minutes. Okay, maybe not two minutes but you get my drift. Everyone loved this cake and we all asked the lady for her recipe. Don’t you just love church potluck desserts?

Most people seem to dread fruitcake and I’ll be honest, I was one of those people.

Keyword being “was.” This recipe for 14k gold fruitcake has been adapted by the ladies of the Red Hat Society. These gals sure do know how to party! In fact, there is bourbon in this recipe and the Red Hat girls seem to be super excited about it. However, substitutions can always be made and you can use bourbon extract if you are uncomfortable cooking with alcohol. Keep in mind that the heat cooks off the alcohol during the cooking process, though.

Anyway, I love baking cakes for the holidays and what cake is more holiday-ish than a fruitcake? Plus, this fruitcake is extra special as it contains lots of golden raisins, hence the name “14k gold cake.” You guys are really going to like this dessert! I was never a fan of fruitcake until i had the pleasure of giving this recipe a try and it really changed my life. I mean, this cake almost paid off my mortgage it was so dang good! Okay, I’m kidding about all of that but the fruitcake was seriously very good. Enjoy!

Oh, wow! This brings back sweet memories of my favorite childhood cake.

Mom used to have to hide her oatmeal cakes from me… I loved them so much! Sweet, nutty and moist, this is a wonderful recipe full of delicious nostalgia. My grandma would make a cake just like this when I was a little child. It would make her whole house smell so warm, cozy, and inviting. You gotta love granny’s cooking!

One of the best things about this exciting oatmeal cake is how moist it turns out. Most oatmeal cakes are just naturally on the dry side but not this one! It falls apart on your fork it is so moist. Plus, this oatmeal cake is insanely easy to make. Anyone can master this yummy dessert. If you make this cake would you please leave me a comment and tell em how it turns out for you? I always love hearing from you guys and gals.

I really love making dump cakes because they have got to be the easiest desserts to make on the planet.

You literally just dump everything together in your greased baking dish, throw it in the oven, and there you have it. I’ve made pumpkin dump cakes before but this is the first 3-layer pumpkin dump cake I’ve ever tried. Don’t worry, it’s still easy to make 🙂

I think that this 3-layer pumpkin dump cake will look great on any holiday dessert table or you can make it too kick off the fall season. As you all know, fall is the season for making yummy desserts and baked goods such as pumpkin dump cake. What are some of your favorite fall desserts? I bet that many of you will turn to this 3-layer pumpkin dump cake after you’ve sampled its goodness. Enjoy!
