These Cookies Are Worth a Double Batch… Or Triple!

Feel like making cookies but don’t want to spend the whole afternoon slaving away in the kitchen? We all know how time consuming some cookie recipes can be.

I wish there was a way to make cookies in 120 minutes, from start to finish! What? You’re telling me it’s possible? Yes, indeed – this incredible cream cheese cookie recipe only takes a few minutes of prep time, and about ten minutes in the oven. That’s crazy! These are so delicious, you’re going to want to make a double batch!

Not only is this recipe incredibly easy, it yields the ultimate in sweet treats. Extremely versatile, as long as you have the main ingredients, you can make the rest up as you go! Chocolate chip cookies? No problem. Hazelnut cookies? You got it! Whatever you want to add to this recipe, you’ll end up with such tasty treats and they’ll be gone in no time. You may want to hide some of these before your kids get home, just in case!

It’s About Time You Gave This Recipe A Try!

Boy, am I looking forward to cooking all kinds of festive meals during the holidays! We all really enjoy the fancy dishes, but I have to admit last year I was starting to dream about good old comfort food that wouldn’t take hours to make.

That’s why this year I am going to include this garlic bacon mac and cheese in the menu. It is essentially macaroni and cheese with a savory upgrade, perfectly festive enough for any occasion. And it isn’t difficult at all to make!

You won’t need any special ingredients here, nothing too fancy – and the simple ingredients combine to make a really hearty dish. However, there is something besides garlic and bacon that really takes this to the next level! As a side dish, this  would go nicely with a wide range of chicken or pork recipes, or you can just serve a larger portion with a side salad and have a really quick and easy meal to warm you up on a cold midweek night.

Carrot cake has always been one of my favorite desserts.

Truthfully, I’ve only ever made a classic carrot cake that is one tier and topped with cream cheese frosting. Those types of cakes are easy to make and certainly not a daunting task by any means. But you know what? In life, we need to face some challenges. I came across this three tier carrot cake and thought to myself that it certainly looked like a challenge and I was up for it! Now, don’t get me wrong, this cake isn’t insanely hard to make but it is harder than a regular, run-of-the-mill cake.

What I learned when making this decadent confection is that planning is necessary. This isn’t the type of recipe that you can just jump into on a Tuesday afternoon. You definitely want to block some time off during your day to get this sweetheart of a dessert completed.

When I made this cake it definitely didn’t look like it came out of a bakery, but you know what? who cares. it tasted wonderful! I can work on the presentation the next time I make it. So, don’t get discouraged, try your best, and enjoy this skyscraper carrot cake 🙂

Hello, everybody! Do you know what I love to do?

I love to make copycat recipes from my favorite restaurants. Today, my parents are coming over for dinner and I wanted to make them something special because it is my dad’s birthday. Now, my dad LOVE Cracker Barrel. it is one of his fave places to eat. Some of you might be wondering why I don’t just take him out to eat and the answer is simple: There are no Cracker Barrels where I live. So, I have to improvise.

I found this wonderful recipe for Cracker Barrel cheesy hashbrown casserole on Facebook. It is easy to make and tastes almost just like the real thing. In fact, I can barely tell the difference.

Sometimes, I’ll toss some ham into this recipe to make it a hearty entree. This idea works out perfectly when you have leftover ham from a previous meal. Enjoy!

One of the things my mother used to make on Sunday’s after church was a tender beef roast.

She used all sorts of methods for making her Sunday roasts and each one of them turned out excellently. My favorite way of enjoying mom’s beef roasts was when she put the meat and carrots into a roaster pan and let it cook on a low temp in the oven while we were at church. The meat would be ready to chow down on when we got home. The smell in the house was intoxicating.

The following recipe on the next page is much like my mother’s but there is a slight difference. In this recipe, the meat is studded with cloves of garlic. Talk about a bold and brazen hit of flavor!

I honestly think that the garlic makes the meat more tender. Each bite is filled with the savory taste of garlic. I swear, my eyes were rolling back in my head as I was chowing down on this beef roast. Enjoy!

I don’t know about you, my dear ladies and gentlemen, but when spring and summer get closer I always tend to look for recipes with fresh and tropical flavors.

Maybe it’s because I am so bored of the winter already, that I want to do everything in my power to get to the sunny days as fast as possible! I look for these flavors in every recipe, whether it’s an entree, a side dish or a dessert. And cakes are definitely no exception! The other day I came across this delicious looking cake recipe and I knew I just had to give it a try right away.

It certainly didn’t disappoint! This super moist and dense cake is supremely decadent – the toasted coconut compliments it well. The cream cheese frosting is sweet enough but not too sweet and brings a great balance to this dessert.

I could eat a whole one – and who says I haven’t..! We’d love to hear how many pieces of this delicious cake you had at once unless you’re afraid to admit you had more than one!

That Topping Is Out Of This World!

I love breakfast time. I didn’t use to be a morning person at all, so it was really hard for me to get out of bed early, let alone eat something at that hour.

I don’t know if it’s because I’ve gotten older, or if my “inner clock” has somehow fixed itself over the years, but now I really enjoy early mornings and tasty breakfast dishes. And, of course, I can’t start my day without a nice cup of dark roast coffee!

Whatever I’m having for breakfast, there’s gotta be coffee. And when there’s coffee, I really love a little sweet treat to go with it. Sometimes it is hard to come by as I do not always stock up on donuts or cake since I will just spend the whole day eating that. But, every now and then I find a recipe that I am able to make over the weekend and enjoy a little bit every morning with breakfast.

This coffee cake is one of my favorites, and even though it has some classic fall flavors, I wouldn’t mind eating this year ’round!
