These Homemade Burger Buns Will Make Your Jaw Drop

When I tried these homemade burger buns for the first time, I knew I could never go back to store-bought again. The difference in flavor was massive – like it often is when you compare homemade and store-bought bread. We were having dinner guests that night and they all said these were the best burgers on the planet. And it’s not even an exaggeration, these really are outstanding!

Many people seem to think it’s somehow difficult to make burger buns yourself. That’s not true at all; once you’ve learned the steps, you can whip these up easily! You just need to be patient when letting the dough rise. It needs to rest for about 2 hours, to get that amazing consistency. Once you sink your teeth into these, you’ll know it was worth the wait!

These aren’t just great for your regular burgers; if you want to make mind blowing sliders, you can use this same recipe! Just cut the dough into smaller pieces.

Hold On To Something Because These Are Out Of This World

You won’t need a napkin for these sticky ribs – you’re going to want to lick your fingers clean! I’ve tried a gazillion recipes for short ribs over the years but I’ve never come across one as ridiculously tasty or as easy to make as this one. I’ve made these over and over again, and my whole family is crazy about these. They’re even better than my father’s recipe – and boy, that’s something!

I knew my slow cooker was a miracle maker but I had no idea it would do such an amazing job with ribs. I had always thought making ribs was a very time-consuming, difficult process – at least if you wanted them to be really juicy and tender.

Well, this recipe has proved me wrong. In fact, because of these short ribs, my Dad even wanted to get a slow cooker! He used to say it was a modern gadget he wouldn’t need, but now he makes half of his meals in the crock pot, haha! Give this recipe a chance and I guarantee you won’t go back to your old one again!

Who Would Have Thought It Was This Easy To Make!

What do you do when you suddenly realize you’ve just agreed to hosting a huge group of women for a fundraising Bible study event at your church? Well, you go a little crazy at first but then you start organizing things like a mad woman. I’m sure, if any of these ladies had seen me at this point, they never would have chosen me for the job!

I thought I had everything covered already when it hit me; what was I going to serve with coffee? I was literally the only one available for the preparations, so I needed a dessert that was super easy to make for a crowd. I called my mother and all of my sisters until I suddenly remembered my aunt serving this incredible tiramisu for last Thanksgiving.

She gave me the recipe and an hour later I was standing in my kitchen, ready to make a test batch. You think I’d serve a dessert I hadn’t tried making myself yet? Not a chance! Fortunately it turned out amazing, and it was extremely easy to double (actually, triple) the ingredients for my event.

It wasn’t until I was in my early 20s did I ever even try horseradish.

My parents never ate it, so we didn’t have any in the house. I never really thought I would like it. I think it’s because the name is “horse” radish? I don’t know for sure, but it was a friend at one of my jobs that I worked after college that actually talked me into trying the stuff. I couldn’t believe how much I loved the flavor. I knew then what I was missing, and I wasn’t going to let that happen for another second. I started putting horseradish on all my sandwiches, burgers, hot dogs, anything that I could think of.

After all, I had to catch up from all the years that I missed! You can imagine how excited I was when I found this horseradish bacon chip dip on the web.

There are two of my favorite flavors combined into one special dish. I love dip anyways, so I knew it was going to be great. I was pleasantly surprised. It was even better than what I had thought it’s a good thing this recipe makes a lot… because we ate it all!

I Love It, You’ll Love It, Everyone Loves It!

I am a laid back, countryside kind of girl at heart, but occasionally I love to get a feel for “the city life”. I’m so used to small town living that whenever I visit a bigger place, I always find something new and fascinating. All the cafes, the traffic, the amount of people – I like to just sit down and watch everyone and everything go by. And that’s exactly what I was doing when I had my first ever slice of New York style white pizza.

Certain foods and flavors always give me a flashback, and this type of pizza is one of them. Whenever I make this at home, I remember that moment in the city – I even remember some of the people I saw crossing the street, having an argument or kissing each other goodbye.

These days I like this white pizza even better than any of your regular ones, with tomato sauce. In my opinion, this is a lot easier to make, too! It doesn’t take long to whip up one (or two, or three) of these and have a great dinner with your family or friends.

My daughter’s softball games were starting, so it was going to be the beginning of eating dinner in the car while we watched her warm up and before the game started.

It was a ritual that we had gotten pretty used to over the years that was for sure. On one of the first days, while we were sitting in our vehicle, one of the other moms came up to the window. She asked about maybe doing a dinner at the games instead of everyone always having to rush through a less than tasty meal. That sounded like a fantastic idea to me. Everyone could bring a dish to pass and nobody would get stuck eating greasy fast food.

The first time, I signed up to bring the main entree, just so that I could get it out of the way. I already knew what I was going to make. A new version of a hot dog that I had seen on the web with cheese and chili. It was going to be awesome!

These went over very well with both the players and the adults actually. I made up a couple of pans to make sure there were enough to go around, and all of them got eaten right up!

As a school teacher, I always have very busy mornings throughout most of the year.

When things finally settle down in the summertime, I like to take full advantage of everything I can. I finally get to relax and enjoy breakfast with my family instead of rushing out the door with a cup of coffee and a granola bar. I like to make them a fresh breakfast whenever I can, and when the season is right, I can do just that. One of my favorite things to make are pastries, mainly because my kids love them.

These strawberry scones with orange drizzle became a quick family favorite after I made them the first time. The whole batch got gobbled right up. My husband even ate one and then took one for the road.

He called me on his lunch break to tell me how much he enjoyed them and asked if I could make them again that weekend when his cousin was going to be in town for a golf tournament. Sure, no problem!
