I had a bunch of family and friends in town for my daughter’s graduation recently, and I was planning some meals for a crowd when I came across this French Toast Bake. It looked delicious all laden with confectioners’ sugar and syrup so I put it on my list. I love French toast but it’s very time consuming for more than a few people. Even with my tiny family of 5 it’s forever before I can actually sit down myself and eat because I’m frying up seconds for everyone before I even get to my “firsts.” That’s why this method is just perfect no matter how big the group is.
It’s really just a matter of firing up the oven and layering. The brown sugar mixture is what makes this so amazing, I think. It’s not like other sweet breakfast casseroles. Just make sure you use a nice, thick bread! I’m drooling again over this!
